As part of the Social Media Guide in Poland for IAB, a colleague from our team had the pleasure of co-creating a detailed analysis of platforms that revolve around photos. We’re talking about the most popular Instagram and its contemporary, Pinterest. Both of these platforms have been around for 10 years. What should you know about them, and how can they benefit your business? Let’s take a closer look and briefly summarize the key information.
A few days ago, the Facebook team announced further changes to its algorithm. This time, the modifications are quite significant, as the priority in users’ feeds will now be given to posts from their friends, while the number of posts from pages they follow will be even more restricted. Facebook promises that if you publish valuable content, there’s nothing to worry about. However, looking at the platform’s past actions, it’s likely that already low organic reach will drop almost to zero.
TikTok, the fastest-growing social media platform, has so far been associated with an endless stream of short video clips. With over 800 million active users, mainly from younger age groups (41% of them are aged between 16 and 24), users share various types of short videos and spend an average of 52 minutes a day on the app. It’s no wonder that brands are looking for ways to reach and engage such a massive audience. It seems that the partnership between Shopify and TikTok is stepping up to meet this demand.
The growth of social media is transforming many aspects of everyday life, including how we shop. It has been some time since TikTok joined the ranks of the most popular social media platforms and made several significant changes in the field.
The world of social media never stands still. Both Facebook and Instagram are doing everything they can to attract users’ attention and keep them engaged for as long as possible. What new features can we expect this time?

In an era of overwhelming messages, stimuli, products, ads, and impulsive buying, the time for de-influencing has come. In opposition to the „buy now, take advantage of the deal” mindset, it promotes rationality, minimalism, and more thoughtful purchasing decisions. What exactly is this trend, how is it already impacting the market, and does it have the potential to change the shopping habits of social media users?
Nearly half of online purchases in Poland are made through social media [1]. Want to boost your sales through these channels? You’re on the right track! However, from experience, I know that you likely need to take a step back first. Your brand must be ready for successful sales on social platforms: it should be consistent and evoke positive emotions.
